Our marquees are still going up for lots of winter events taking place, but it is time to start switching our focus back to the summer of 2018. It is an exciting time for us here as we continue to develop and grow as a business. Our relationship with various venues has proven priceless over the years and we hope it continues that way for many years to come.
Newly engaged couples out there! – All the suppliers, that you are considering for your wedding day probably know each other very well and have probably done many weddings together in the past. That tried, and tested combination could be just what you are after!
Top 5 Reasons to use people who know each other:
5: Time – It almost feels like putting a portfolio together when contacting all the suppliers needed to organise a wedding. Commonly the Venues are the first to get a call, if you can then use their contacts, the trusted people who have worked there before it is only going to save you time (and money!).
4: Trustworthy & Honest – Probably an obvious one to most of us, there is nothing worse than being told one thing and getting given another. Time after time we find customers struggling to piece together their events because they have been let down by a supplier. Chances are in the event based industry where reputation is everything, you won’t find people recommending ‘dodgy’ suppliers.
3: Those last-minute needs – Quite often we find that something has been overlooked or forgotten, we’re all human these things happen. When another supplier is need having that strong working relationship is always key and can often be resolved without concerning the happy couple.
2: Fit for Purpose – I can think of numerous examples where we have been asked to provide an accessory as a replacement for something that has been delivered but not fit for purpose. Ensuring that your suppliers are in contact at the very least is so important so stop these nasty surprises.
1: Events are based on strong networks – Once you have found one supplier that you trust and are confident in, you can almost put your feet up. That first supplier will almost become your PA! You tell them what you want, how you want it to look, and the setting in which you want it. I would confidently say that they will be able to point you in the right direction at the very least. These networks are built from many years of working together just like any other industry, but unlike most other industries, in events these people are working together week in week out.
